So... Has anyone called ahead to Maryland Aquatic Nurseries to tell them we're coming? Any chance for a behind the scenes tour or anything like that?

I'll give them a call in a bit...
Since they're usually pretty busy, I doubt we'll be able to get any special
treatment. I'll check though.

Thanks Ghazanfar!

And for all of you others. GWAPA visited Maryland Aquatic Nurseries almost 2 years ago, and Ghazanfar did a great job documenting the trip with photos. If you want to see what to expect, check out this, from our archives!

There could be a little glitch in the plans....

They MAY not be open during Memorial Day weekend. The owner is supposed
to call me back - we may still be able to get in, may even be the only ones there,
IF the owner is planning to be at the retail location on Saturday.

I'll keep you guys posted...

Wow. Thanks for calling! I'm glad you did! Tell the owner that we'll bring him plants if he'll be there. :-)

Cool stuff. A private tour or just the regular visit?

Regular visit. They were planning on closing for the weekend, in which
case we had a chance of private visit or not at all. But it seems they're not
going to be closed on Sat now - which puts us back to where we were a few
days ago. However, if its not too busy, we'll be able to pull one of the staff
to tag along with us and answer some questions.

I'm planning on buying something this time around - didn't buy anything last
time. Maybe a whiskey barrel pond this summer :)
