JBJ Regulator Killing Me

I thought I had it working leak free, but Friday after work, I went to feed my fish and I noticed NO BUBBLES.
The darn tank was bone dry again, and it has only been 2 weeks since I filled it. I leak checked it with a
soapy water solution and did not see any leaks after I set it up. This regulator is a PITA.

I'm thinking about ordering another one soon, maybe an AquaTek from this company in California. It's a low
end regulator, but it should do the job.

I would like to build one from scratch, but it's a little intimidating. If I build one, I'm considering a Fabco
needle valve. I should be able to use the solenoid off the JBJ. Not sure which regulator to get. I Read dual
valve regulators are able to maintain a steady output tank pressure, but also read a quality needle valve
will keep the output to your aquarium steady. If a Fabco NV is good enough, then a single stage regulator
should be sufficient.

I should act quickly, my 50G has gone all weekend without CO2.

Some of the guys in the NJ club make regulators. I have no firsthand experience with them but I've read on forums that they are very good.

My Milwaukee is still running fine. I know Sumo, Greenleaf and Rex Grigg all build custom regulators.
I don't think it is that hard to assemble one. For me what's confusing is knowing what size fittings/adapters to buy.
I'm not that familiar with the different threads sizes needed for all these fittings.

Joe , I have a Aquatek of California. Worked great for the first 6 months. It stopped working when I refilled the tank.
I am talking with the seller on ebay to give me a quote for just the regulator ( without the solenoid and needle valves ) but so far the discussion is dragging.

So I need a regulator as well. If you find something, let me know as well.

I believe the Beverage Factory's Classic Series you linked to is the same one Rex Grigg sells.
I think it is a Cornelius. If we ordered 2 of them, it would be $44.33 each shipping included.

If I'm not mistaken, the BeverageFactory regulator you linked to is the one Sean uses, right?

If you guys want to do an order and save on shipping, put me down for two - it looks like the unit price with shipping would be $42.47 if we got four of them.

Amy and I have decided to make the jump to pressurized, and that was the regulator I was planning to get anyway. I'll get two because we'll run one tank in the kitchen, and a second tank downstairs, rather than try to figure out how to run 100' of CO2 line.

How do we know if the thread and adapter for the solenoid matches? There is no detailed description. Is it a standard size ( it would be nice, but I doubt it ) or do we need some adapters ?

I am in for the order if we figure this out. You can order it for delivery in Cantonsville , I can wait until Saturday. But we should hurry if we want to get it by then, otherwise I will need to make a trip to your area next week.

The link that I found seems to be a nitrogen regulator ( I think the only difference is the tank connection), but it seems to be the wrong kind for us. (maybe call first)

I've googled alot, and this is the best I could come up with regarding a Cornelius regulator body output port size.
Rex builds these, so he should know. The dimensions are in NPT. Also looking at the Clippard catalog, their
Solenoid Valve, MME-2PDS-D110 has 1/8" NPT inlet and outlet ports.
