June Meeting - FOOD!

Post by jweis »

OK, it is my first mtg heading things up as the new food coordinator, so I am hoping everyone dusts off their cookbooks (or stops by their favorite grocery store).

This is what we need:
  • Soda pop (total of five 2-liter bottles, or equiv in cans)
    Ice
    Appetizers
    Side dishes
    Main dishes
    Desserts
Every month I'll make sure we are set on utensils, napkins, and plates.

So, please post what you can bring to help with the feast. Some folks have a bit of a drive, and it is always nice to have a nice spread of food.

I can bring the Soda because it will fit in my saddle bags, I'll stop just before Sean's place so they won't explode when we twist the cap.
Sincerely,
Tim

OK, so far John has volunteered to bring cheese and crackers, and Tim has volunteered to bring the soda. I'll make up a batch of my greek orzo pasta salad.

Who else can bring something? You don't even need to know how to cook. Ice, chips, store bought desserts all require no cooking.

For those of you have a little bit of time and some kitchen skills, perhaps an appetizer, side dish, main dish, or homemade dessert?

Julie -

I can bring a dessert - a side dish or a main dish - tell me by Friday what you still need (if I can't figure it out from the posts) and I will bring what is most needed.

Food committments to date:

John: cheese and crackers
Tim: soda
Julie: greek orzo pasta salad
Franny: two salsas and scoops
George: dessert

Take a poke in your pantry and sign up to bring something. Looks like we need main dishes, sides and desserts. Oh, and ice.
