September meeting?

First off Arlene's cupcakes are A-W-E-S-O-M-E, secondly I'll be there too! My last GWAPA meeting before moving to Alaska

I know I posted this earlier, but I'm looking for some clippings of pretty much anything. The Alaskan water is super hard, and of course my plants arrived late in the mail after I left. So my wife per my instructions filled the tank with well water, treated it as usual, and added the plants. My prelim tests showed the pH was 7.2, ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 0. I didn't consider dissolved solids, and of course after just one day the entire tank was covered in Lime and Calcium scale. Now all of the plants except for my anubias are pretty much dead or on their last leg.

What I would like to do is purchase (or accept donations ) plants that I could check in my luggage.

The plants I'm looking for/didn't make it are below, but beggars can’t be choosers:
- Vallisneria tortifolia (Twisted val)
- Sagittaria subulata (Dwarf sag)
- Marsilea drummondii (4-leaf clover)
- Eleocharis acicularis (Dwarf hairgrass)
- Cabomba caroliniana
- Ludwigia arcuata
- Ceratophyllum demursum (Hornwort)
- Java moss (BBA and hair algae free please)
- Microsorum pteropus (Java fern)
- Ceratophyllum demursum (Hornwort)
- Glossostigma elatinoides
- and anything else I could create a low maintenance "lawn" with. (I do have CO2 now!)

Aaron, the one you gave me is Usteriana and not the hybrid, right? mine are going very strong and have four to bring. if you want some let me know, best crypts ever!!!

yeah, you have just usteriana, very large with reddish undersides to the leaves.

Chris, I've been growing out my dwarf sag, L. arcuata and E. acicularis for you. Of course if anyone else wants to contribute you'd have more for a better shot at something surviving

I just pulled about a softball of Tiawan moss out of a tank, algae free....

I'm going to miss the meeting, will float it in something and try and get it couriered to the meeting.

Drat. I don't know if I'm going to make the meeting. I had already been wrestling with the moral dilemmas of whether I was a bad mommy to miss my daughters' soccer games, and whether it would be evil to skedaddle when my in-laws are visiting. But now my husband is making noises about inviting additional dinner guests that night. Sigh. I guess we'll see what happens.
