GWAPA member articles in the Aquatic Gardener

I got my issue of The Aquatic Gardener today, and was pleased to find two excellent articles written by GWAPA members:
One on the recent GWAPA tissue culture workshop written by Ben Belton, and an article by Jason Baliban on the Houston Plant Fest.

Great article, Ben, it almost feels like I was there! Jason's article was gret as well, though I had already read his blog posts, which have more details and pictures.

You know, from reading the Aquatic Gardener, you get a sense of how famous and influential this club is in the aquatic plant world - two authors, and Ghazanfar and Kris were each pictured twice, along with Dave.

We ought to change our tagline to "World domination through aquatic plants".

And BTW, for those of you who are not members of the Aquatic Gardeners Association, you really should join. Their quarterly publication The Aquatic Gardener is really impressively produced, given that it is an all-volunteer effort. One of the best hobbyist magazines I've ever seen.

Well done, guys. The magazine is volunteer produced--and volunteer written. I'm grateful to be in a club where the members are so willing to share what they know. It's nice to get new plants to try out in the auctions (and at reasonable prices) but the biggest member benefit in GWAPA is the club's collective knowledge.

Kudos once again to two GWAPA members with articles in the latest issue of "The Aquatic Gardener"! Cavan has a nice article on Rotala sp. 'Araguaia', and Ghazanfar has a nice book review of "Cryptocoryne of Peninsular Malaysia" (along with an extract from one of his blog entries). Nice job, guys! Oh, and since Jason Baliban is a member too, that makes a GWAPA trifecta - his composition "Meander" was the cover.

And for those of you that aren't AGA members, you really should join. Their journal, the Aquatic Gardener, is outstanding by any measure, and is inconceivably good for an all-volunteer publication.
