OK, here's where I am now with m 58 gal cube. Substrate is Onyx & sand lower layer and aquarium gravel upper layer. Light fish load. I've got two C02 bottles producing bubbles (forgot the name, it's a kit where you add sugar & yadda with a difuser). I've got two 96w PCs going; one for 12 hours and the other about 8, overlapping. I add a little flourish liquid once a week. Plants covered with little bubbles and streams of (I believe) oxygen floating to the top and growing very well.
Bad news, still have copious amounts of hair algae. What do you think I should be doing differently?
Thanks for any advice. <edited><editID>Larry Grenier</editID><editDate>38141.9795949074</editDate></edited>

Add a little more Flourish, some Flourish Iron, a little nitrogen and a little phosphorus. If your plants are pearling, they are doing good. You just need to give them a little extra to produce that O2 and kill the algae.
You could also try som algae eating bait. I don't know much about them, so I'll let G reply here.
Patience.
Ben

Kent fertilizers, they have all in one and each nutrient seperated out, go for the individual nutrients. When you get used to feeding your plants we'll get you into the bulk chemicals.

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.
If you've got bait, I've got wasabi!
I wish I could be like Mr. Sarcastic when I grow up!

Is the kent stuff liquid?
How about these four
(I can order these at ThatFishPlace right now)
Flourish
Flourish Iron
Flourish Nitrogen
Flourish Phosphorus.
Or is kent cheaper or better?
Or maybe suggest another On-Line source.
What is the meaning of life?
Thanks again for your advice.
