Mixing KH2PO4 (Potassium Phosphate) in my Macro Mix

Post by Larry Grenier »

I was reading Ghazanfar's article on ferts and was concerned if I may be forming insoluble Calcium Sulfate by mixing KH2PO4 (Potassium Phosphate) in my Macro Mix which also contains Ca(NO3)2 (Calcium Nitrate), Mg(NO3)2 (Magnesium Nitrate), and KNO3 (Potassium Nitrate). My tank has a sump with a turbulent section where the return pump resides and I just dump the dry mix in there. Any issues with this?

Oops. My bad. My comment for the stock solution and Calcium Sulfate was from when I used to have K2SO4 in Stock B. The Calcium Nitrate in Stock A would react with it to form Calcium Sulfate. I think the KH2PO4 will be ok...
