Nano plants

Post by magsdez »

After much research, I've picked a handful of plants that I would like to try to get a hold of for the nano competition. If anyone has any of these and would be willing to sell to me, I'll gladly buy from you at the meeting. Thank you so much. Also, if anyone has any suggestions/additional information about any of the plants, would love that also.

Eleocharis acicularis (dwarf hairgrass)
Elatine triandra (would LOVE this one!)
Downoi (please, oh please JUDI!!!!!-Just need about 4 plants)
Ranalisma rostrata (radican sword)
Marselia quadrafolia

Thank you! And let me know how much I would owe (so I can hit the bank! 8) )

These are nice plants. I would like some downoi, too. The E. triandra is nice. The E. acicularis is also nice and can be got at some fish stores, depending on their supply. You may prefer elecharis parvula instead, depending on the design.

Yeah, Eleocharis acicularis could be used as a background plant in a 2.5G with a decent slope. If no one here has any to spare, the pots from Florida aquatic that's just labeled as "Dwarf Hairgrass" is 99% of the time E. acicularis.

I've been looking for E. triandra for awhile now. Apparently it's a bit delicate and does NOT travel well. Seems to be a recurring theme with elatine... If you find some let me know!
