"Fishing" with cucumber was a flop. Ditto the snail trap. Both amused the shrimp greatly.

Also I'm "fishing" with a couple of raw cucumber slices on clips and string. One youtube post suggested that as well. I've got the lights off now to see if the somewhat nocturnal MTS will rise to the bait. I'll also just crush or remove all the ones I can when I can reach them. I'm not try...

In the meantime I've built a snail trap (probably critter trap) out of a peanut butter jar. I'll try it tonight.

It's big enough that it should be easy to remove the not-a-snails.

I've added three yoyo loaches to my tank and so far they don't seem to be making a dent in my MTS population. Anyone have some assassins they want to let go at the May meeting?

Are there local commercial sources if not?

I changed water on Friday but doing another now. I'll test after that. I haven't been dosing fertz at all for a couple of months and plants are healthy so I don't think anything is chemically out of whack but I'll check for sure. Mistake. Fin on belly opposite the dorsal fin is missing. Not caudal fin.

I have one of my Espei rasbora with a large white spot in front of his tail fin. Ich?

Looking at the others I find one which seems to be missing dorsal and caudal fins.

I'm now raising the tank to 80f from its normal 74.5.

Any suggestions as to what it might be and treatment strategies?
