Re: Glass tops?

I've never actually had the lid I just have a 15" cube with the water level all low because the fish won't stop jumping. I see there is a uns rimless lid that they sell for a 15.75" (40cm) cube that might fit, but it's not in stock anywhere. I don't see aqueon actually selling the frameles...

Glass tops?

So now that petco has shanked drfostersmith, where I used to order the bulk of my glass tops, where's the best place to get them now? I used to get them only during sales, but liveaquaria looks to me to just be clearing out their stock of tops from drfostersmith.com :/ Also the aqueon frameless cube...

Re: Shy CPDs

I could give it a try sure, but at this point in my breeding cpds strategy all I do is feed and do water changes. Not entirely sure how many babies they've made in the 2 other tanks I set up, I see some new babies but there's so much floating pearlweed that I can't be sure how many are in there unti...

Re: April Group Buy with Aquatic Arts

Re: April Group Buy with Aquatic Arts

Well my adults that are fully colored up are just as you describe (minus the not breeding...). Even 40 juvies out in the open in a 20g seemingly does nothing to encourage them to stop hiding. So I suspect if I put 150 adults in an 80g they will still hide all the time heh.

Re: Root tabs

I personally use osmocote plus and just vacuum the balls out if they make it on top of the substrate. Sometimes I push them in individually, sometimes in animal geletin capsules (also a slow release N source). Ammonium! ? I don't get how it's possible seachem lists calcium chloride but not...

Re: Anyone DIY CSM+B or use a DRY stock copper free micros?

Sounds like you need to buy dry ferts and mix them yourself... initial cost might not be that low but like 1/2 lb of some of these would last a lifetime if you're not running a huge nursery or something. Can be found on ebay/amazon and I think you can just plug the chemicals into rotalabutterfly. Mn...

Re: Help choosing a light for a 75g

Pretty much all the leds leaning towards the cheaper side of things cut corners in the power supply (including the e26/e27 "bulbs", & floodlights.) That tends to be the part that fails long before the others, besides maybe with internal condensation/dropping them in water. It would be ...

Re: 2018 Aquatic Experience

Well regardless I think I'm going to get a hotel room instead of crashing at my sister's house in Jersey City, I don't think my shrimp and such would be safe from her 2 year old...
