Re: May Meeting
Christy - Sounds good. Ill bring one of each for you. Linus - I wish. I need to sell off my extras to make room for one of those. I helped a place I used to work out earlier this year with their ponds. I gave them some of the lilies I had and in return they were going to buy some nice unusual named ...

Re: May Meeting
I plan to be there. I have the usual pond plants; lilies, umbrella palm, black magic taro and free parrots feather. Let me know if you are interested in any thing as I will not bring stuff, especially the lilies, if I don't hear back. All the lilies are in pots and fertilized for the year - ready to...

Re: April Meeting
It seems that most meetings have a pretty eclectic mix of stuff to eat so I would just bring whatever you would like to share.

Re: Water Lily planters
Yeah oil pans were a thought but I think there a little on the small size especially depth wise. I definitely will see how they do through the season and over winter. I have high hopes though, they seem to be built nicely.

Water Lily planters
So I have been looking for planters for my water lilies but I'm too cheap to but the recommended tubs from the plant vendors. The tubs they sell are about 16 inch in diameter and 7 inches deep and run about 15 bucks each. Not that bad but if you have a bunch of lilies they add up and I figured I cou...

Re: Fluval 406 sucks.....air
Update on this. I had to buy a whole new valve assembly. Simple change and now it works just fine so. No more constant noise. Here is the kicker though. I only got that filter last year and since I'm not the best at doing water changes, the value only was operated maybe about 20 times before it brok...

Re: Fluval 406 sucks.....air
Thanks guys. I'll try Big Al's. I haven't removed the filter but I have tried messing around with a bunch of parts. Assuming its not the main o ring, the only parts exposed to air are the intake hose and the valve assembly. Next step is to get some replacement o-rings for the valve and see if that d...

Re: Bubble counter setting
Thanks. I think mine needs to be increased but I'm doing it slowly as my pH is already low and I don't want to really drop it. Right now it's set about 2bps and I'm increasing it while monitoring pH.

Fluval 406 sucks.....air
Hi guys Having an issue with my Fluval unit. its only about a year old and it has now started to suck air all the time. I have tried searching for a leak but no luck. There has been no leaking of water at all and since I believe the canister itself is pressurized, I figure the main o ring can't be t...
