When I planted Glosso in my 75, I put in just a few. Then I waited for a month or so, and then had a really nice uniform looking foreground.

I witnessed today that an amano shrimp got hold of a snail and ate it with great gusto. That explains why there are so many empty snail shells in the tank. Mystery solved.
