Everything PVAS is too far. I wish it wasn't, but it's just an all-day affair for me to attend anything they hold. bah, is only about an hour of driving!! i have done an hour for gwapa meets before, i think C. Todd was the one that took me the most! :mrgreen: No, it's more like 1.5-2 hours + toll$ ...

You want an inline check valve or one attached to the regulator?
Look for 1 psi or even 1/3 psi cracking pressure. If you look on ebay you can find the Parker ones for $20 or even less.

You might consider insulating the walls somehow if you want to overwinter the fish. I've seen a few threads on APC and TPT of folks using heaters to overwinter their tub ponds and it seems to work.

Yeah, it might add some K. Though I'm not certain you'd want to add any in large amounts.

In the future you could try adding 0.5 g of potassium sorbate as a preservative. It's pretty cheap on Ebay.

There's a place in MD called Maryland Aquatic Nurseries. They specialize in ponds. It might be a hike for you, but it's worth the drive. We've done a few field trips there.
