It looks very much like what I bought from Aquarium Center awhile back, labeled Hygrophila corymbosa. The leaves on mine are more like 5-6 inches, though, since I added co2.

So, is there a pre-beginner category? :)

Seriously, though, I think I might enter. It sounds like a good opportunity to try something new. (And if things really go awry, I can pretend I was actually trying to see how many species of algae I could grow in one tank :wink: )

Ludwigia I got at the last meeting

At the meeting last weekend I got some beautiful Ludwigia at the mini-auction. I think I was told that it was a cross between L. repens and something else, but I can't remember the something else. Can anyone help me out?

There's a guy on the FishGeeks forum that has bred them; he says he has 15 fry. He says that in his experience, they are as easy to breed as danios. Hi folks,

I just joined the other day and will try to make it to the meeting. Hope I'm not getting in over my head --while I've kept fish off and on since I was a kid, I'm only just now starting to learn about how to keep a planted tank. Looking forward to learning a lot from your group!
