This doesn't help with the import license issue, but do know that very few places that claim to be farming Buce are actually doing so. Most are holding areas for wild collected plants. Maybe you're getting lucky, but I've heard that story way too many times. The only truly reliable way to ensure the...

Rick, 150 PAR at substrate will grow just about anything, but like you said, it's a fine line for algae. If you can keep the overall system balanced, you can definitely do it just fine.

I've never gone wrong with a GLA regulator, single or dual stage. They use higher quality parts, which tends to add redundancy to avoid the dumps. They're also pricier than many other options. I haven't used the other two options you listed.

I do 8 hours on all tanks, but use dimmers to adjust the lighting intensity. For the sword, let us know how that experiment goes. Increasing by 4 hours may require less intensity to avoid algae.
