I'm more likely to quarantine animals than plants, but it's probably a good idea to quarantine both. Most of the plants I bring home are tough enough to handle chlorine, so I put them in a bucket of warm tap water over night, without adding dechlorinator. My theory is that anything they're harboring...

Thanks for posting those, Kris. The bluespot in your photo is more turquoise than the bluespots I've seen from other locations. The interesting thing about sunnies is that there are subtle differences in color among the different populations.

Wow, Jeff. That has never been my experience with them at all. Although I could see the males fighting and doing one another in. Like I said, though, they're tough fish and need tank mates that are a little on the scrappy side.
