Bog plant?

Postby Tim_Koles » Sun Apr 21, 2019 11:07 pm

Calling all plant id'ers

Saw these on my sisters property. All of the were in an open meadow area near moss so it must stay moist all the time. The hairs on these were about a quarter inch long

The moss I've picked up off the ground has never looked good in my aquariums :(

I've had it fill out nicely in paludariums, but not in aquariums.

The moss is sphagnum. Needs soft, low nutrient, acidic water and should tolerate a wide range of light, just different colors. Plant *might* be lambs ears, Stachys byzantina.

Doesn't look like sphagnum to me but it's not a very clear photo. Take a better picture Tim :p

Not spagnum. And it's not the picture but the size limitation of the site. Try these

I'm not sure what this is. Flowers would help a lot. I think it might be Asteraceae of some kind.
