Hi there.
I picked up a Aquatek of California mini (paintball tank unit) regulator, and it has a better bubble counter on it than what is normally sold with...
couple questions....
Can I use a generic diffuser for this unit?
what about line? is any standard silicone airline ok?
what about a reactor? is it worth it????
anything else I should have or know about
thanks
david

Standard airline tubing is okay, but your will lose some CO2 through the walls. You can always get CO2 tubing.
I place the end of the tube into the intake of the canister filter, so that works if you don't want to get a reactor.

I always just used a wooden air stone (they sell them for use with old protein skimmers), or even a discard-a-stone. Anything that gives a very fine mist. As long as little CO2 is reaching the surface, you're alright.

I use an inline atomizer on a canister filter, it works really well.
David I have some polyurethane tubing that I can cut a few yards off for you. It is a little tight fitting, but it won't break down like vinyl. I can bring it to the upcoming meeting.

I got mine from green leaf aquatics. You can also get them from amazon, eBay.

David, this is the one I'm using on several tanks. I believe it's "UP" brand:

Make sure to get the proper diameter one for your filter's hosing. Also, when you get, don't be surprised if you need to use a much higher pressure output on your regulator to get the CO2 to flow, and once it does, keep an eye on it, as it sometimes fluctuates a little bit while it's breaking in. Then it's very stable.

ok.... so stupid question..
on this paintball style solenoid and C02 regulator... what is the purpose of the plugged in regulator... I am not clear what the purpose of this part is...
I suppose I need a C02 regulator guide for dummies......
