Removing the frame/brace on 10g

Has anyone ever removed the framing/bracing on a 10 gallon tank? If so, have you had any problems? How did you do it?

I replaced the frame on a 30g. Huge pain in the #$$! I don't recommend it.

I broke the old frame off in pieces. There was no easy way that I could think of. Then scrape off the silicone with a razor blade.

What did the edges of the glass look like? Were the edges sharp?

No, they weren't sharp.
