My polysperma is growing leaps and bounds but it is looking rather thin and lanky. Any suggestions? Could it be light or too much nutrients making it grow too quick? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

What are you current tank parameters? (tank size, light, co2, etc)

One of the most common causes of this is insufficient light. Often times you will see a large distance between the nodes, and then sometimes the tips (or the parts closest to the light) will be much closer together. Perhaps this corresponds to your situation?
