Yep. I set mine up Saturday night. ;-) I currently just have the light set long ways from front to back, until the legs arrive. Obviously, some light is lost that way, but it's still pretty bright. The quartz sand seemed pretty nice to plant in, and had near zero dust when filling.

As far as the legs go, can all of the contest participants please PM me their preferred mailing addresses? Hopefully, the legs will arrive in the next day or so, and I'll get them mailed by the end of the week.

That is a LOTTA light for a 2.5 gallon tank. {waiting to hear the algae wails} :(

I'm going to start off with using one of the two lights. Listen up, you all. :o

I would be willing to wait to pick up the legs until the next GWAPA meeting.

Anyone feel like sharing their choice for filtration? Does it really even need filtration, or just some water movement?

I've using the Red Sea Deco Art Nano Filter. I got mine from Scales. You probably don't need a filter if you have water movement.

I plan on using the same filter as Kris. You could get away with a mini powerhead I think.

Post by Spine »

Question,
Are we allowed to add Flourite or any thing like fertilizer tablets for the roots.

Thanks Kevin

Thanks Kevin
We all agreed that you are not allowed to mix it with another substrate. However, substrate additives such as Flourite tabs etc... are allowed.
