Really? I pulled some out of a tank once, glued them to rocks and forgot to put them back in. Shriveled up within 5-6 hours and didn't come back. Do you have to let them emerge on their own?GOT MTS? wrote:BTW anubias can be grown out of the water.

Re: January meeting
I'm planning to be there (two in a row!). I'm getting ready to change over my tank to a riparium setup, so I'm looking for: 1) plants that will work as above-waterline riparium plants 2) mid-height stuff that will grow well in high-co2, high nutrient, but relatively low light situation 3) moss that ...

I plan to be there on the late-ish side. Probably 2:30 or so. Will bring beer.

Re: Not my tank--
Or java moss or bucephalandra. I presume these discus swim in conditioned tap water (not r/o). What filtration system is being used? Interesting, the salt water alternative I tend to see are African Rift Lake cichlid tanks, not discus. Conditioned tap water. For once I was more interested in the fi...

Mold in my micros:
Eeeeew. This never used to happen. My micros are 50/50 Seachem Flourish and water with a dash of Kent Iron. I could swear that this started when I kicked the old 2 liter bottle of Flourish and bought a new one. I've cleaned and bleached the whole works, including the dosing lines, but can't seem to ...

The missus loves the tank, but especially the pea puffers. Kirthi (age 6) carefully scoops snails from the 15g in her room, brings them down, and tosses them in as treats. Zach feels that this is cruel to the snails.
