Re: Consumption?
Yeah but requires regular testing :o how do I measure this accurately when my craziest tank evaporates gallons of water a week and is still dropping tds I'm estimating about 3-4 ppm a day because with topping off and dosing the tds remains roughly stable if I give it around there but like you I hard...

Re: Consumption?
I hate doing the api nitrate test. I don't really want to get a pneumatic paint shaker... not jerking off that bottle every day! I like how the seachem test works a little better, but a few amazon comments complain about their nitrate reagent going bad. Whatever it's cheap enough I might just go ahe...

Re: GWAPA member gallery book--send me your pics!
She was asking to have the pics uploaded to her dropbox anyhow if she's still collecting them, but it is pretty normal at this point for forums to auto resize images or at least support bbcode for width/height vars. It's probably better for the pic to be as big as possible for printing out.

Re: CO2 regulator and reactor of choice.
I'm sure their regulators work just fine... but so do much cheaper ones, the part I would spend money on is the metering valve/needle or possibly even a ph monitor instead, which would still be cheaper. I personally think the co2art 250$ model is too much just for a fancy looking manifold, the GLA e...

Re: CO2 regulator and reactor of choice.
http://nilocg.com I like his mini regulator, and would use his reactors if not diy, though I've mostly been using inline diffusers lately, also have 1 of the lesser model of https://co2art.eu regulator I suppose plenty of people are fine with the cheap ones with a set psi or keg regulators but I do...

Re: Lighting pond tank.
Initial cost of t5ho is good, can mix and match bulbs to change spectrum/appearance and the diffuse/bounced lighting is much > than any but the craziest of led arrays. It's probably kind of a pain to cover 24x24 with a single bar/strip led I personally think current USA lights are overpriced at the ...

Re: Flood light wattage.
lumens (eye brightness) per W does not really indicate more PPF/watt, and many of the meters are not great at seeing violet or deep red light either. The night chaser is either 3000K or 5000K low 80s cri. http://assets2.sylvania.com/media/bin/asset-1378033/asset-1378033 I suppose if one is looking a...
