The water in my nano is a yellowish brown. All that's in there is the Amazonia and 3 small pieces of mossy rock. I've done approximately 75% water changes daily since Saturday. pH is around mid 6, by my inaccurate test kit, and holding steady.

Are you adding nitrate, phosphate, potassium and trace minerals? Those are what get locked up in the substrate and made available to the plants. Also, you should reconstitute the RO water with a little GH hardness (to about 60 ppm or 3 degrees). The plants need the calcium and magnesium as well. NP...
