I'll be there. It looks like I may have a space available in the car so if someone needs a ride from the Columbia area I might be able to bring one person along.

Everything's in the back--engine and storage space (such as it is). Front doesn't really open--not without disassembly. I hadn't thought of those metallized bags. I bet they would work better than the little cooler thing, hold more, and pack flatter. Yes? Maybe I should pick one or two up to keep in...

Yes, but it's a British car! And you know, British sports cars--you don't want to hurt their feelings or they'll leave you stranded somewhere. Then the plants would really cook! So I gotta throw in "boot" alongside "trunk" every so often. :P

Ooh, good thought on the soft cooler and especially the cold pack. I'm sure there's one around here somewhere, just gotta hunt it down and remember to bring it with me! Then I have to not buy so much stuff. That's going to be the hard part. I hope some of this stuff does recover, but I guess it's ju...

I didn't bring a cooler, no way to fit one in the car. That's also why they weren't up front with us--no room. Although if I had known we were going to get stuck on the way home I would have held them in my lap or something...

Aww, man... (plants in the heat)

Well, we got stuck on the beltway on Saturday on the way home. The plants were hot when I got them out of the trunk, and I put them still in the bags in cool water, then planted them. I had hoped everything would be ok, and they looked more-or-less ok for a couple of days, but I got home tonight to ...

Ooh, I think this is the stuff that just (as in this week) started showing up in my tank. It must have come in with some plants from the auction.

I'm planning to bring some baby Apisto cacatuides triple red. Not sure how many--any ideas on a good number for the bag? I think they're still a bit too young for me to sex.

I always mix cold and hot water to the appropriate temperature for the tank. I do let the hot water run for a minute or so to flush out some of the water that's been sitting in the pipes, though, before I start filling. Haven't had a problem yet!
